David Makovsky is fellow and director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy Project on the Middle East Peace Process.[1][2]

In addition, he is adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in the Middle Eastern studies program.

He is identified as implicated by Sibel Edmonds in her State Secrets Privilege Gallery[3]
