Description | Information about the 2020 Bilderberg is currently lacking. |
The 2020 Bilderberg Meeting is planned to be the 68th Bilderberg meeting and have participants from around 20 European countries, the United States, Canada and possibly one or two other nations such as China. Its venue has very likely already been chosen ad booked by the Steering committee, but is still publicly unknown.
Postponed Date
The 2020 Bilderberg was presumed to begin and end in June, since all Bilderberg meetings from 2010 on have done so.[1] It has now officially been postponed due to the worldwide travel bans.[2]
Original date
The G7 summit was to be held June 10-12, 2020 (Wed-Fri), at Camp David in the United States. Based on patterns from earlier years, the probable Bilderberg date is the weekend just after, June 13-14. The 2020 Bilderberg might be held in Canada, but will probably not be held in the US, since the 2017 Bilderberg was in Chantilly, Virginia.[1]
Cancellation??
It the event were cancelled (instead of postponed) due to COVID-19, this would be only the second cancellation in the group's history. The only precedent was the decision to cancel the Bilderberg in 1976 to minimise the risks of exposure after the Lockheed/Bribery scandals had drawn unwanted attention to Prince Bernhard.[3]
Agenda
The 2020 Bilderberg Agenda has not yet been released.
Conjectured topics include:
- Technological developments
- The 2020 COVID pandemic[4]
- How to Control the narrative[4]
- Internet censorship, in light of the increasing number of leaks
- Boosting the faith in the commercially-controlled media[4]
Guests
Most of the Steering Committee are expected to attend. Some perennial Bilderbergers in particular are easy to predict: Victor Halberstadt and Henry Kissinger (more Bilderberg visits than anyone else alive, 44 each), Vernon Jordan (34), Marie-Josée Kravis (29). Former chair, Étienne Davignon (33 visits) may well also attend.[5]
Bilderberg meetings tend to invite about 50% newcomers. The other half the guests can be expected to be drawn from the list of 3117 past Bilderbergers.[6]
