The Socialist Party(PS) is a social-democratic political party in Portugal.

Founding

To fund the party, Western European Socialist parties were used as cut-outs for funds provided by the American Central Intelligence Agency.[1]

It was founded on 19 April 1973 in the German city of Bad Münstereifel, with support from German foundations like the SPD's Friedrich Ebert Foundation, which again was covertly funded by industrialist and former Nazi Friedrich Flick.
