John McAfee tweeted if he was ever found dead by suicide that he did not kill himself, and had "$WHACKD" tattooed on his arm.

Suicide is killing oneself.

Importance on Wikispooks

Covert assassinations are often disguised as suicide. Sometimes, they may go as far as faking a suicide note, even if the target had expressly denied any intention of killing themselves (such as, for example, Deborah Palfrey or John McAfee).

Increasing prevalence in the US

The official suicide rate in the United States was 33% higher in 2017 than in 1999.[1]

Suicide watch

Suicide watch is a system of intense monitoring and removal of basic amenities. It is nominally intended to prevent prisoners from committing suicide, but some prisoners report that it is used as a method of harassment (for example Chelsea Manning). It proved ineffective at preventing the death of Jeffrey Epstein, who reportedly died, under a suicide watch, by his own hand, on August 10, 2019. The Wikipedia page was semi-protected just after his death and about 75 mentions of it were reverted within seconds.[2]
