Journalist who broke story of Bill Clinton meeting Loretta Lynch in June 2016; died in June 2021. Declared suicide. |
Christopher Sign was an American ABC news journalist who broke the story about the 2016 tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch,[1][2] at the height of the Hillary Clinton email controversy. Both parties denied wrongdoing, saying "they just made small talk".
Barely a week after the meeting, Lynch announced that the investigation would end with no charges.[3]
Sign died in June 2021.[4] The police is investigating the death as a suicide.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] He received death threats for his reporting.[13][14][15]
A month before the book's release in February last year, Sign said in an interview on Fox & Friends that he was receiving death threats over the explosive story.
"Well my family received significant death threats shortly after breaking this story," Sign told the anchor before adding that his family had to come up with "secret codewords" for his children because he was concerned about their safety.[16]
Official narrative
The initial Wikipedia article was deleted in August 2016.[17] Since the 26th of June 2021, Wikipedia redirects 'Christopher Sign' to Clinton Body Count, which asserts the case as a "Debunked conspiracy theory" etc.[18]
