Bertil Torekull is a Swedish author, politician and editor who worked for newspapers in the Wallenberg Sphere[1] and the Bonnier media corporation. He attended the 1990 Bilderberg meeting.
“We won't have an editor-in-chief who does not know how to teach journalists which hand feeds them.”
Peter Wallenberg (1991) [2]

Career
He was foreign correspondent for Bonnier in the United States from 1967 to 1968 and France from 1971 to 1972.
Torekull was editor-in-chief of Vecko-Revyn 1962-1964, Veckans Affärer 1970-1973, Dagens Industri 1976-1980, Östgöta Correspondenten 1981-1989 and Svenska Dagbladet 1989-1991.[3] At the time, Svenska Dagbladet was owned by the Wallenberg family's Investor AB.
In 1976 he was the initiator and founder of the business newspaper Dagens Industri as well as its first editor-in-chief and responsible publisher. He was also the initiator and founder of the news magazine Reportage, which was published with a few issues in 1980 and, despite massive investments, became one of the Bonnier Group's biggest failures.
Torekull was fired by Albert Bonnier Jr after 21 years within the Bonnier Group. He was hired as editor-in-chief of Svenska Dagbladet by the main owner Peter Wallenberg, but fired after two years "for not teaching the employees from whose hand they ate".[4]
He was president of the Swedish Publicists' Association from 1985 to 1988.
Torekull has published about twenty books, in addition to many collections of articles. He wrote a biography of his friend Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA.
Torekull ran in the 2014 European Parliament election for the Green Party.[5]
