Stated that she was employed as a sex slave to have sex with Prince Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein. Notoriously pictured with Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Virginia Giuffre (née Roberts) alleged that she was ordered to have sex with Prince Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein when she was 17 in London, New York and the Caribbean, after being recruited at age 15. She criticised Scotland Yard for failing to investigate her allegations.

In August 2021, she sued Prince Andrew, accusing him of "sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress." The lawsuit sought unspecified damages. On 12 January 2022, US Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that the civil action against Prince Andrew brought by Virginia Giuffre could proceed, but was settled out of court later that year. She died in 2025, in what police declared to be a suicide.

Claims

Virginia Giuffre stated "her first sexual encounter with the Prince took place in the London townhouse of Epstein’s ‘madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell."

Forced sex

Giuffre stated that Ghislaine Maxwell ordered her to have sexual intercourse with Prince Andrew when she was 17, and that it was "quick and disgusting". She stated that she was paid $10,0000 for having sex with him and that Ghislaine Maxwell had fooled her "parents into believing she was training with them to become a professional masseuse, helped their underage plaything get a passport for the sick vacation."

A now infamous photo (dated 13 March 2001) "that speaks a thousand damning words". Prince Andrew has his hand around the waist of a 17 year old Roberts, supervised by Ghislaine Maxwell. In 2019, Prince Andrew claimed to have "no recollection" of the meeting and that the photo might be a fake,

Escape

Giuffre escaped from Epstein in Thailand where she was obtaining a massage qualification.

Sudden Death

In 2019, she announced that

I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape or form am I suicidal. I have made this known to my therapist and GP- If something happens to me- in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quieted 🦋

Car crash?

She posted a photo of herself on Instagram in March 2025 with a bruised face; she also wrote she had only four days to live due to expected kidney failure stemming from a car crash in rural Western Australia.

Domestic abuse?

That story shortly after developed into the injuries being the result of domestic abuse by her husband.

Suicide?

On 26 April 2025, the BBC reported that, according to her family, Giuffre had died by suicide. Relatives said in a statement that she had been a "fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse", and that the "toll of abuse... became unbearable". "She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking," they said.

"Not suspicious"

West Australia police said that "the death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious."
