The Lima Group (Grupo de Lima) is a multilateral body that was established following the Lima Declaration on 8 August 2017 in the Peruvian capital of Lima, where representatives of 12 countries met in order to establish a peaceful exit to the so-called "crisis in Venezuela".[1]

Among other issues, the Lima Group (comprising Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Paraguay, Santa Lucia and Canada) demands the release of political prisoners, calls for free elections, offers humanitarian aid and criticises the breakdown of democratic order in Venezuela.[2]
