Rockefeller family financed organization to further its climate change agenda, utilizing "young people, indigenous people, black and brown communities, and poor people" as photogenic fronts.

The Equation Campaign is a Rockefeller family initiative to finance activists "to enhance the power of movements to keep oil and gas in the ground", using "young people, indigenous people, black and brown communities, and poor people"[1] as PR-friendly fronts, it has among other things financed and aided the Dakota Access Pipeline and Keystone XL campaigns.[2]

Own words

We work with philanthropic institutions and donors to enable historically underfunded groups to stand shoulder to shoulder with peers in the national environmental community, and to access the powerful levers of finance, media, law, and policy that can deliver the changes they urgently need.[1]

The Equation Campaign finances the climate movement by funding resistance on the ground and diminishing the industry's sources of financial support. It also make grants for strategic litigation and the legal defense of activists.[1]

Propaganda

It finances the Guardian by paying for writers to supply it with contents.[3]

It also funds multiple other media outlets featuring "communications strategies that elevate stories from the frontlines."[4]

It helped launch Fossil Free Media, a nonprofit communications lab "providing free media support and capacity to frontline fights and to the supply side movement"[5]

Funding

Funders as of 2023 also include the Schmidt Family Foundation, the David Rockefeller Fund and the JPB Foundation[6]

The sponsored projects are a selection from its extensive funding program.[7]

EventDescription
MacArthur FoundationFinances non-profit organizations and select people in approximately 50 countries around the world, buying immense cultural and political influence. It often coordinates its priorities with other deep state foundations, creating a mesh of grants, cross-grants and sub-grants that is very hard to analyze.
Open Society FoundationsA NGO operating in more countries than McDonald's. It has the tendency to support politicians (at times through astroturfing) and activists that get branded as "extreme left" as its founder is billionaire and bane of the pound George Soros. This polarizing perspective causes the abnormal influence of the OSF to go somewhat unanswered.
Rockefeller Brothers FundRockefeller family "philanthropic" fund. One of the CIA's favorite cut-outs during the Cold War.
