Count Hans Graf Huyn was a deep politician who attended Le Cercle meetings. He is mentioned in the Langemann Papers which included the minutes of a 1980 meeting of Le Cercle, in which Huyn reported having "consulted with the head of the Saudi security service about the establishment of a short-wave radio transmitting towards the Soviet Union. Background
Hans Graf Huyn was son of the press attaché at the German embassy in Poland Johannes Franz Graf Huyn (1894-1941) and Liselotte von Philipp. He studied law, philosophy, history and languages at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and at universities in France and South America.
Career
In 1955 he became an attaché at the German Foreign Office. In 1956 he participated as a secretary at the EEC negotiations in Brussels. From 1956 to 1957 he ran through diplomatic stations in Tunis and Dublin, and was used until 1959 at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry. After work at the Embassy in Tokyo from 1959 to 1964 he was from June to August 1961 Permanent Deputy Ambassador in Manila. From 1963 to 1965 he was responsible in the European keynote of the political department of the Foreign Office of European Political Cooperation and the French-German friendship treaty.

In 1965 Huyn was dismissed after it was discovered that he had leaked confidential information. This very significantly damaged the government of German Chancellor, Ludwig Erhard.
Post-Dismissal
Huyn then began work as a journalist. In 1969 he was working for the federal financial administration and changed in 1972 as a clerk for the CSU Regional Group in the CDU / CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag. He was until 1976 foreign policy advisor to Franz Josef Strauss. In 1976 he was himself a member of the German Parliament and was a deputy for the constituency Rosenheim from 1976 to 1987 and 1988 to 1990. He was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Inner-German committee and the defense committee and foreign affairs spokesman of the CSU in the German Bundestag.
Publications
Huyn wrote several books which deal mainly with the Ostpolitik and the Soviet Union.
Death
Hans Graf Huyn died after a long illness on January 22, 2011.
