Nicky Morgan (born 1 October 1972) is a British Conservative Party politician and former lawyer who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Loughborough since 2010. She served as Economic Secretary to the Treasury from October 2013 to April 2014 and as Financial Secretary to the Treasury from April to July 2014.

Nicky Morgan was the Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities from July 2014 to July 2016.[1] She was removed from these positions on 14 July 2016 by David Cameron's successor, Theresa May.[2]

Select Committee Chair

In July 2017, Morgan was elected Chair of the Treasury Select Committee following the UK/2017 General Election.[3]

Trousergate

In December 2016, Nicky Morgan daringly suggested that Theresa May’s flashy £995 leather flares were not at all the kind of thing she’d be able to justify down the market in Loughborough.[4]

It will issue fine words but do nothing practical about the plight of people because it won't have the staff to do it. It is all part of turning the country into a place where the wealthy feel comfortable and the rest have to scavenge to survive. The only added twist is that the well paid people at the top of this pyramid at the ECHR are being paid out of ordinary people's taxes.
