Wilson's political ambitions were sponsored primarily by Cleveland Dodge, secondarily by other members of the money trust. While he publicly spoke against them, he appears in his actions to have been a compliant servant of the US deep state.
Career
“We want one class of persons to have a liberal education, and we want another class of persons, a very much larger class, of necessity, in every society, to forgo the privileges of a liberal education and fit themselves to perform specific difficult manual tasks.”
Woodrow Wilson (1909) [1]
Wilson's first bid for the US presidency was assisted by representatives of the US deep state, principally Cleveland H. Dodge, who donated $51,300.[2]
Federal Reserve Act

- Full article: Federal Reserve Act
Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act, which secured control over the US dollar for the money trust:
“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”
Woodrow Wilson [3]

World War I
Wilson campaign for re-election as US president used the popular slogans "He kept us out of war" and "America First" to strengthen his image as an anti-war president. The US joined WWI a month after he was re-elected, after labeling it a "war for democracy".
“Nothing like official sanction was given to the idea that the United States is first and foremost a democracy until Woodrow Wilson, in making the war against the Central Powers a war for democracy, gave the stamp of wide popularity to the idea that the United States is, first and foremost, a democracy.”
Charles Beard (1943) [4]
Race relations
Wikipedia mentions that he was an apologist for slavery. As president, he rolled back hard-fought economic progress for Black Americans, overseeing the segregation of multiple agencies of the federal government.[5][6]

Conspiracy/Public attitudes | “Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” | 1913 |

Woodrow Wilson/Deep state control | “This Wall Street cabal, with the aid of New Jersey political bosses, pushed for Woodrow Wilson to become Governor of New Jersey in November, 1910.
Within a few months, Cleveland Dodge opened a bank account in New York and an office at 42 Broadway to boom Wilson into the Presidency. The campaign bank account was opened with a check for $1,000 from Cleveland Dodge. Dodge then provided funds to mail out the True American of Trenton, New Jersey to 40,000 subscribers throughout the United States, followed by a regular two pages a week of promotional material on Wilson For President. Two-thirds of Wilson's campaign funds for the presidency came from just seven individuals, all Wall Streeters and linked to the very trusts Wilson was publicly denouncing.” | Antony Sutton |
