Mark Thompson is a former acting SFO director.

Career

Thompson worked as a police officer with the UK Metropolitan Police before qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1997. He then worked for the National Audit Office and KPMG Forensic.[1]

In 2004 he joined the SFO. In addition to working as chief financial officer, Thompson became acting SFO director in April 2018.[2]
