Virginia Giuffre (née Roberts) alleged that she was ordered to have sex with Prince Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein when she was 17 in London, New York and the Caribbean,[1] after being recruited at age 15.[2][3] She criticised Scotland Yard for failing to investigate her allegations.[4]
In August 2021, Virginia Giuffre sued Prince Andrew, accusing him of "sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress."[5] The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.[6]
On 12 January 2022, US Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that the civil action against Prince Andrew brought by Virginia Giuffre can proceed.[7]

Virginia Giuffre claims "her first sexual encounter with the Prince took place in the London townhouse of Epstein’s ‘madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell."[8]
Forced sex
Virginia Giuffre claims that Ghislaine Maxwell ordered her to have sexual intercourse with Prince Andrew when she was 17[9], and that it was "quick and disgusting".[10] She stated that she was paid $10,0000 for having sex with him and that Ghislaine Maxwell had fooled her "parents into believing she was training with them to become a professional masseuse, helped their underage plaything get a passport for the sick vacation."[11]

Escape
Virginia Giuffre escaped from Epstein in Thailand where she was obtaining a massage qualification.[14]
