She took a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in 1995,[1] and has a diploma from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris.[2]

Career

She was one of the Wall Street Journal Europe's editorial page writers in Brussels[2]

She then worked for the Financial Times Deutschland and Merrill Lynch, both in London.[2]

She has worked at the Economist since 2000, as European business and finance correspondent, Midwest correspondent, and Senior Germany Correspondent.[2]
