Finnish business lobbyist who attended the 1973 Bilderberg conference. Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade 1975-76. First chairman of the Finland committee of the Club of Rome.

Sakari Tapani Lehtowas a Finnish economist and jurist. Lehto did his life's work in the service employers' associations, where he mostly spoke in favor of increasing the international activities of companies and opposed all kinds of price regulation. Already in the 1960s, he had a positive attitude towards European economic integration and Finland's participation in it.[1]
He was minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry in the Miettusen government from 1975 to 1976. He was the first chairman of the Finland committee of the Club of Rome.

Sakari T. Lehto was the son of Prime Minister Reino R. Lehto.
Career
Lehto was 1949-52 secretary at Confederation of Finnish Employers, 1952-64 held various positions at the paper industry Yhtyneet paperitehtaat Oy and 1964-71 was CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industry and 1972-87 of Oy Partek Ab.
He was minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry in the Miettusen government from 1975 to 1976.
He worked as CEO of Partek from 1972 to 1987.
