Merete Helene Eldrup (nee Jørgensen) is chairman of the board of the University of Copenhagen , Nykredit and the Rockwool Foundation[1]. In has been director of the media group JP/Politikens Hus and CEO of TV 2/Denmark. Since 2019, she is a professional board member.[2]
Eldrup is married to member of the Bilderberg Steering Committee Anders Eldrup. They met at the Ministry of Finance, where he was head of department.

Education and Early Career
Eldrup has a master 's degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen in 1988. In the period 1988−91 she was a clerk in the Ministry of Finance. Subsequently, she has worked as Secretary to the Minister of Finance Henning Dyremose (1991-93), and as Head of the Secretariat for Mimi Jacobsen in the Ministry of Business Affairs (1993-95).
Later Career
Eldrup was employed as deputy director of the Danish Energy Agency in the period 1995-98, and then as director of JP/Politikens Hus (1997-2007).
In December 2007, she was appointed CEO of TV 2/Denmark, a position she resigned in 2019. In December 2019, she was appointed chairman of the board of the University of Copenhagen and in 2020 she became chairman of the board of Nykredit and the Rockwool Foundation, after having previously been deputy chairman of both boards
