Félicien Morel is a Swiss politician, founder of the Fribourg Social Democratic Party.
Career
He was National Councillor from December 1975 to November 1983 and State Councillor, Head of the Finance Directorate, from 1981 to 1996. Biography
In 1970, he became a municipal councillor in Belfaux, then a member of the Grand Council in 19711.
Elected to the National Council in October 1975 and re-elected in 1979, he became chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group in 1981.
In 1981, he was elected to the Fribourg Council of State, where he became head of the Finance Department. He attended the 1985 Bilderberg. He was re-elected in 1986 and 1991. He left the government in 1996.
