Dr. Alexander "Alex" Krauer was a Swiss drug company executive and Bilderberg Steering committee member. In 2017 he was a Honorary Chairman of Novartis AG.
Career
Former President and Delegate of the Board of Directors of the big chemical company Ciba-Geigy, after the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz to form Novartis AG (1996), Chairman of the Board of Directors until 1999.[1]
From October 1998 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the new UBS AG. Until the beginning of 2005 he was President of the University Council of the University of Basel.
Honors include: 2001 Honorary Senator of the University of St. Gallen.
