U.S. army officer who was "in attendance" at the 1983 Bilderberg as head of the office of SACEUR Bernard W. Rogers.

Michael D. Dallas is a U.S. army officer who afterwards became chief operating officer for the nuclear Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. Michael Dallas was head of the office of Supreme Allied Commander Europe Bernard W. Rogers when "in attendance" at the 1983 Bilderberg meeting.

Army Career

In 1968, Dallas graduated from Officer Candidate School and joined the United States Army, where he worked for 30 years.[1] During his military career, he worked in a variety of command and staff positions in the United States, South Vietnam, Korea and Europe.[2]

Dallas worked key staff assignments at the highest levels of the government, including senior executive assistant to the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe.[2]

He was active in the invasion of Somalia in 1991, where hecommanded the United States Quick Reactions Force in Mogadishu. He was deputy commander of the Multinational Forces in Haiti, and assistant division commander, 10th Mountain Division.[2]

Military-industrial complex

Dallas retired from the military in 1996. For five years, he worked as senior vice president and chief operating officer for DynCorp Tri-Cities Services, Inc. in Richland, Washington. This was a five-year $500 million maintenance and operations project in support of DOE's Hanford Environment Management Site,[2] at a decommissioned former nuclear production complex.

Dallas worked for four years as the general manager of Center Operations at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, a $250 million, five-year program.[2]

Since 2006, he has worked served as the chief operating officer for the nuclear Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. In this position he directs, oversees and integrates the operations of a Department of Energy National Laboratory with a $150 million annual operating budget.[2]
