Exposure
In 2006, Sibel Edmonds named him one of her "Dirty Dozen", listing members of congress who "by their action or inaction, have stood against real investigations, hearings, and legislation dealing with government whistleblowers who have exposed waste, fraud, abuse, and or criminal activities within government agencies."[1] In May 2015, Hastert was indicted on financial charges. Sibel Edmonds (the most censored whistleblower in US history) alleges that this is merely the tip of a very large iceberg.
Background
Dennis Hastert was a high school teacher and a wrestling coach of no special wealth.
Career
He became a multi-millionaire after becoming the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. Sibel Edmonds states that the explanation is a long standing pattern of criminality supported by a "mind-boggling level of Media Censorship".[2][3][4][5][6]
2005 Vanity Fair Expose
In 2005, Hastert was a main subject of an expose by Vanity Fair, which highlighted major criminality. Edmonds' revelations were cross checked with substantiated with those of several other (5?) whistleblowers.[7] The Vanity Fair expose was not picked up by any other organisations Big Media.
2015 legal action
On May 28, 2015, for unknown reasons, Hastert was indicted. A grand jury in Illinois charged that Hastert agreed to pay an unnamed individual $3.5 million as part of an effort to conceal "his prior misconduct."[8] in connection with banking regulations. Sibel Edmonds correctly predicted the outcome of the 2015 legal action involving Dennis Hastert as a plea deal, so that he would be indicted on a relatively minor charge, and -- supposedly to save the state money -- no other charges would be investigated.
In April 2016, terming him a "serial child molester", U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin sentenced him to 15 months in prison.
