Arild Underdal is a Norwegian political scientist with academic interests in international climate policy and international environmental regimes[1]. He attended the 2004 Bilderberg meeting.
Education
Underdal was born in Bodø. He received a degree in political science at the University of Oslo in 1972 and a doctorate (dr.philos.) in 1982.
Career
He was professor at BI Norwegian Business School from 1984 to 1986, and was appointed professor of international politics at the University of Oslo from 1987. He had two periods as Adjunct Professor at the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research – Oslo (CICERO).[2][3]
He was rector of the University of Oslo from 2002 to 2006. Underdal has been particularly interested in the study of negotiations and international cooperation, particularly in international environmental and resource management regimes.[1]
