Cesare Merlini is an Italian "security" think-tanker. He was a nonresident senior fellow at the Center on the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institute and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Italian International Affairs Institute[1] until 2001. He attended both the 1973 Bilderberg conference and - a wide spread - the 2004 conrerence.

Activities

"His areas of expertise include transatlantic relations, European integration, and nuclear nonproliferation, with particular focus on nuclear science and technology."[2] He was previously professor of nuclear technology at the Polytechnic University of Turin and published several scientific papers on nuclear problems.[3]
