Mikhail Borisovich Khodorkovsky is a former Russian billionaire and owner of Yukos whose current networth (2015) is estimated to be 500 million.[1] He was arrested in 2003 and ousted in the following trial. Most people subscribe to the explanation that he was cut of from power by the government under Vladimir Putin.[2]

Directly after arrest, before the trial, he gave his shares in Yukos Oil to Jacob Rothschild of the Rothschild dynasty.[3]

Activities

In 2002, together with Stuart Gerrish, Henry Kissinger and Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, Khodorkovsky founded the Open Russia Foundation (later renamed the Future Of Russia Foundation.[4]
