Rinaldo Petrignani is an Italian diplomat.Even though he was Deputy Secretary General of NATO, he is not suspected to be a Bilderberg member.
Biography
Petrignani was the longest-serving diplomat to have held the post of Italian ambassador to Washington, for ten consecutive years from 1981 to 1991, managing among other things delicate cases such as the Sigonella Crisis. He was also Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva for several years. From 1978 to 1981 he was deputy secretary general of NATO in Brussels.[1]
He was a diplomatic adviser to the President of the Council of Ministers, at the end of his diplomatic activity he collaborated with numerous companies of which he was president, including Alenia North America and Merzario USA. From 2002 to 2014 he was president of Boeing for Italy.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy and advisor for international relations of the Italy–USA Foundation, and has been a consultant to numerous private companies including ATT, Bechtel, Mills, Montedison and Alterra.
