Lars Evald Christoffer Taxell is a Finnish-Swedish business director, politician and former Chancellor of Åbo Akademi University. In Finland, he is known as the gray eminence of Swedish-speaking minority's politics, economics and culture.[1]

At the end of 2009, a newspaper chose him as the third most influential decision-maker in the Finnish economy after Björn Wahlroos and Antti Herlin.[2]
