Ali Hüsrev Bozer was a Turkish lawyer and politician. He attended the 1988 and 1989 Bilderberg meetings.
Early life
He is the son of Mustafa Fevzi Bozer, who was made President of the Supreme Court between 1950-1952.
He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law. He completed his doctorate at the Swiss Neuchatel Faculty of Law.
Career
At first a member of the Nationalist Democracy Party (MDP), then of the Motherland Party (ANAP), he was Deputy Prime Minister in the Turgut Özal's and Yıldırım Akbulut's cabinets and was Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was one of the founders of Oyak-Renault, automotive company in Turkey (1969) and was chairman of the board of Oyak-Renault from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, he was the father of Coca-Cola Eurasia Group President Ahmet Bozer.[1]
He sat on a number of boards, including the Ankara University Faculty of Law, Member of the Board of Directors of Ordu Aid Institution, Member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Teachers Bank, Oyak-Renault Automobile Factories, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, and Judge on the Council of Europe Human Rights Court He was a Member of The Hague Court of Justice, Director of the Banking and Commercial Law Research Institute, President of the Turkish Group of the World Insurance Law Association, and President of the Ankara Turkish Education Association Foundation.
He died at the age of 95 in the hospital where he was treated for COVID-19 on September 30, 2020[2]. His body was buried in Karşıyaka Cemetery on 2 October.
He was married and had three children. He was awarded the French Legion d'honneur.
While he has many books published in the field of Commercial Law, he also has a book called "My Life", published in 2018, in which he wrote his memoirs.
