Peter Schütze is a Danish economist and former executive at Nordea[1] He attended the 2011 Bilderberg meeting.
Education
In 1973 he became a cand.polit. from the University of Copenhagen.[2]
Career
He subsequently obtained employment at the then Privatbanken, where he had worked as a student. He first worked in operational economics and in 1981 became head of the bank's foreign exchange management. He advanced to deputy director and head of foreign affairs in 1983, but became head of domestic affairs in 1988. In 1990, he became division director. After the merger into Unibank in 1992, he continued as the bank's director and in 1999 became group director of Unidanmark.[2]
After Unibank merged into Nordea in 2000, he became director of staff and procurement, deputy director and chairman of the executive board. In 2002, he became head of Nordea's operations in Denmark and a member of Group Executive Management throughout the group. Since 2004, he has been director of the group's retail activities and CEO of Nordea in Denmark.[2]
In June 2011, Peter Schütze became the new chairman of the board of the Danish railroads, DSB.[2]
