Canadian economics professor who attended the 1972 Bilderberg and subsequently switched to politics.

André Raynauld was a Canadian economist and later politician in Québec.[1][2] He attended the 1972 Bilderberg as President of the Economic Council of Canada.

Career

Raynauld studied at the University of Montreal, before obtaining a doctorate in economics from the University of Paris in 1954.[3]

Career

In 1954, same year he finished his studies, he was appointed professor at his alma mater the University of Montreal, where he participated in the creation and establishment of the Department of Economics. In addition to teaching, André Raynauld held prestigious administrative positions such as President of the Economic Council of Canada.[3]

Raynauld's has received several awards and distinctions, including his appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1986. Throughout his career, André Raynauld has published numerous books and articles in addition to being linked to several organizations such as the Canadian Economic Association, the Council for Social Research in Canada and the Royal Society of Canada.[3]
