Lord Chalfont, (a.k.a. Alun Gwynne Jones) was a member of Le Cercle[1] who spoke twice at the 1979 JCIT and set up the Institute for the Study of Terrorism in the UK.

Promoting the "War On Terror"

In 1979 he attended the Jerusalem Conference on International Terrorism, where he spoke maybe more than anyone else - a full speech on "Overcoming the Climate of Appeasement" and also twice on the last day. He attended the 1984 Washington Conference on International Terrorism.

In 1985 he co-founded the Institute for the Study of Terrorism with Jillian Becker.
