Sir John Oldham is a British doctor and healthcare theorist[1],arguing for an integration of the health and social care sectors, saying change is needed because the current health and social care system is not sustainable.[2] He attended the 2010 Bilderberg meeting.[3]
Education
Oldham qualified at Manchester Medical School in 1978 and worked in various teaching hospitals, culminating as a GP trainee in inner city Manchester, before becoming a partner in a general practice.[4]
Career
He was National Clinical Lead for Quality and Productivity in the NHS.[5]
He has presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos.[6]
He was an adjunct Professor at the Institute of Global Health at Imperial College London.
after retiring from general practice in 2012, he chaired Labour's independent commission on whole-person care.[2]
