Gale W. Allen was Chief of the Classification Review Division at the Central Intelligence Agency. He stonewalled release of documents.[1][2]
Career
Following three years in the navy during joined World War II he returned to Macalester College to finish his under-graduate degree in History, from which he graduated in 1947. He then moved to Washington, DC to attend Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies where he was trained for a career in international relations. Upon graduation he was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency where he had a 32-year career as an analyst. He retired from the CIA in 1980.[3]
