'Matthew (Matt) Puttick' is a lawyer and the very first Dutch-based embassy contact named for the Integrity Initiative in the Integrity Initiative/Leak/1. He was replaced by Stefan Kirchner in September 2018.[1]

Background

Puttick has a degree in Human Resource Management and Development. He has worked for the UK embassy for at least 5 years being promoted after working at the European Department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[2]

His bio states he's "an UK Civil Servant with 10+ years experience across three Government Departments. Proud member of Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service, currently preparing for my next role as a UK representative to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Originally from the North East of England. Disability Confident. I have a broad range of experience and proven record of achievement in both foreign policy work (specialising in Multilateral/UN business) and dealing with Corporate issues (Legal, HR and Finance prior to joining the Foreign Office; Estates, Security and IT since joining). Passionate learner - particularly languages, but also of world history, geopolitics, and the role of institutions like the UN in upholding the Rules Based International System."

Next to Japanese, English and Dutch he also speaks French and Italian.

Disappearance

His LinkedIn page was removed for google results during 2018, during the Integrity Initiative/Leak/1, and about the same time he got replaced by Stefan Kirchner.[3]

He became part of the British support team for the COVID 19-epidemic on the embassy.
