Richard Socher is Chief Scientist at Salesforce where he leads the company’s research efforts and works on bringing artificial intelligence solutions to Salesforce.

He was selected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2017.[1]

Career

Prior to Salesforce, Socher was adjunct professor at the Stanford Computer Science Department where he obtained his PhD working on deep learning with Chris Manning and Andrew Ng. He did a Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship in 2012. He won the best Stanford CS PhD thesis award in 2014.[2]
