Deep political connections

From 1972 to 1974, John E. Carbaugh, Jr. (a regular at Le Cercle) was press aide to Strom Thurmond[1] and campaign director of the re-elect Thurmond campaign, 1970—1973.[2]

Another Cercle member, Lee Edwards, served as director of information for Strom Thurmond.[2]
