Halvdan Bjørum was a Norwegian businessman who attended the 1983 Bilderberg meeting.
Activities
An 18-years old Halvdan Bjørum was imprisoned by the Germans during World War 2 for "illegal newspapers and courier activities"[1]. The bonds with other resistance activists from the war created a deep state network that remained for decades after the war (including stay behind, without it being known of Bjørum participated. His air force activities might indicate such a connection.)
Education
Halvdan Bjørum attended Purdue University in the United States.[2] He served to lieutenant in the United States Air Force, 1951-1956.[2]

Bjørum became a mining company executive. He was sales engineer of the family mining company[3][4] H. Bjørum, Oslo, becoming managing director from 1962 until 1968, and chairman and managing director from 1968.
He was chairman of the board of EB, 1974—1986, M. Peterson & Son, Moss, since 1970, Sarpsborg Papp Aktieselskab., since 1975, Saab Norway, since 1979. Vice chairman board Løvenskiold-Vakerø Aktieselskab, since 1980.[2]
He was Director D.N.L. Aktieselskab, Vingresor AB, Stockholm, Scanair A/B, Scandinavian Airlines.[2]
He was a member of the finance committee of the Conservative Party between 1982—1987.[2]
He was a member of American Institute Mining, Royal Aero Club (London) and the gentlemen club Norske Selskab.[2]
He owned a sea plane.[5]
