Sławomir Stefan Sikora is a Polish banker, economist, and chairman of the Board of Commerce Bank in Warsaw.

Sławomir Stefan Sikora graduated from the Department of Internal Trade of the main school of planning and Statistics.

Career

Sikora was director of the Department of Banking system and financial institutions in the Ministry of Finance from 1990 to 1994. From 1994 to 2001 he served as vice chairman of the General Bank of Credit. From 2001 to 2003, he was Chairman of the board of Amerbank. He then became chairman of the Polish Board of Commerce.

Sikora was a member of the Board of the Association of Polish Banks. He was also a member of the Board of the Polish Confederation of Private Employees Lewiatan and the supervisory board of Agora Joint stock company. In 2005 he was made Chief Executive Officer and Citigroup Country Officer, responsible for operations Citigroup in Poland. In the same year, he was appointed as a part of the Citigroup Management Committee.

He became a member of the Trilateral Commission. Together with Andrzej Olechowski he attended the 2004 Bilderberg.

In 2010 the President of Poland Lech Kaczyński appointed him as a member of the Polish National Development Council.

Pardon

Sikora was later pardoned by the Polish President because of exposure in the 1999 fim, The Debt.[1]
