Veronique Morali a French businesswoman. Married to Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière and later on the board of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, she attended Bilderberg 1991 and was organizer of the 1992 Bilderberg conference. She was also selected a Young Leader by the French-American Foundation in 1995.

Background
Véronique Morali's father, Pierre Morali, came from a pied-noir family from French Algeria of Italian origin. On the side of her mother, Raymonde Banaschek, her family were Polish Jews. Her mother died when she was 16 years old.[1]
Education
She graduated from the Sciences Po in 1980 and ESCP Europe. She joined the ENA, gradating in 1986. Her exit rank allowed her to choose the General Inspectorate of Finance as her mandatory ENA public service.
Marriages
In 1986, she married François Mongin, a fellow graduate of Sciences Po and ENA. They formed an open marriage, and she had two daughters with Frédéric Oudéa. In her second marriage, she married the businessman Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière (born 1940).[2]
Career
In 1990, she left the General Inspectorate of Finance to join the Marc de Lacharrière Financial (Fimalac), just created by Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, of whom she would become his wife.[3]
Véronique Morali became director and deputy CEO of the Fimalac group, then president of Fimalac Development. She was also a director and vice chairman of the Fitch Group (including Fitch Ratings, a global rating agency and Algorithmics, specialized in risk measurement).
Without ceasing her activities with the Fimalac group, she founded in 2005 with Françoise Holder and Anne Méaux, the Force Femmes association of which she has been president since 2018. Force Femmes has the objective of supporting unemployed women over 45 in their efforts to return to work and start a business[4].
In March 2007, she took over the presidency of Chanel[5], a position she left in October 2007.[6]
In 2008, she founded the Terrafemina website, an information website dedicated to women, focused on the themes of work, employment and commitment.[7]
In August 2009, Véronique Morali took part in a commission responsible for reflecting on the use of the future national investments, a commission co-chaired by former prime ministers Alain Juppé and Michel Rocard.[8]
In January 2011, she became president of the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society[9], a position she held until 2014 when she was replaced by Clara Gaymard.[10]

Awards
On May 12, 1999, she was appointed to the rank of knight in the National Order of Merit[12].
She was appointed to the rank of knight in the national order of the Legion of Honor on April 9, 2004 as "general director of a financial group; 23 years of professional activities"[13], then made knight of the order on June 17, 2004. She was promoted to the rank of officer in the order on July 12, 2013[14]. She was promoted to the rank of commander in the order on December 29, 2022.[15]
