In 1986, she married François Mongin, a fellow graduate of Sciences Po and ENA. They formed an open marriage, and she had two daughters with Frédéric Oudéa. In her second marriage, she married the businessman Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière (born 1940).[2]

Véronique Morali became director and deputy CEO of the Fimalac group, then president of Fimalac Development. She was also a director and vice chairman of the Fitch Group (including Fitch Ratings, a global rating agency and Algorithmics, specialized in risk measurement).

Without ceasing her activities with the Fimalac group, she founded in 2005 with Françoise Holder and Anne Méaux, the Force Femmes association of which she has been president since 2018. Force Femmes has the objective of supporting unemployed women over 45 in their efforts to return to work and start a business[4].

In March 2007, she took over the presidency of Chanel[5], a position she left in October 2007.[6]

In 2008, she founded the Terrafemina website, an information website dedicated to women, focused on the themes of work, employment and commitment.[7]

In August 2009, Véronique Morali took part in a commission responsible for reflecting on the use of the future national investments, a commission co-chaired by former prime ministers Alain Juppé and Michel Rocard.[8]

In January 2011, she became president of the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society[9], a position she held until 2014 when she was replaced by Clara Gaymard.[10]
