Peter P. Dyvig was a Danish diplomat. In the 1980's, he led a committee to analyze Denmark's security policy situation. The conclusion obviously being pleasing, he received the important jobs as Ambassador to London and Washington.[1]

Career

Dyvig graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 1959. The same year he was employed as a secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and received a scholarship for further studies in the United States.[2]

In the 1980s, he named a committee to analyze Denmark's security policy situation.

He soon reached the top as department head, after which he continued as ambassador until his retirement. He was ambassador to London in the years 1986-89, Washington 1989-95 and Paris 1995-99.

He held several positions of trust, including as chairman of the Danish House in Paris and chairman of the board of the British Import Union. 2000-2009 he was a member of the board of the company Terma A/S.
