Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Ellison is the founder of the spooky database company Oracle.

CIA origins
Founded in May 1977, Oracle's first customer was the CIA, [1] where it was contracted to build a relational database. The firm's name came from a CIA project code-named "Oracle."[2]
NSA
Supportive of mass surveillance.[3] Ellison was critical of NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden, saying that "Snowden had yet to identify a single person who had been 'wrongly injured' by the NSA's data collection".[4]
AI universal surveillance
In September 2024, Ellison said Oracle was ready to become the technological backbone for applications to keep everyone "on their best behavior" through the use of constant real-time machine-learning-powered monitoring." With these systems, "the police will be on their best behavior because we're constantly watching and recording everything that's going on," Ellison told analysts. He described police body cameras that were constantly on, with no ability for officers to disable the feed to Oracle. Even requesting privacy for a bathroom break or a meal only meant sections of recording would require a subpoena to view - not that the video feed was ever stopped. AI would be trained to monitor officer feeds for anything untoward. "Citizens will be on their best behavior because we're constantly recording and reporting," Ellison added.[5]
Mystery night planes
Ellison is a licensed pilot who has owned several aircraft.[6] He was cited by the city of San Jose, California, for violating its limits on late-night takeoffs and landings from San Jose Mineta International Airport by planes weighing more than 75,000 pounds (34,019 kg).[7]
Ellison also owns at least two military jets: the Italian training aircraft SIAI-Marchetti S.211, and a decommissioned Soviet fighter MiG-29, which the US government has refused him permission to import.[6]
mRNA jabs
During a January 2025 meeting at the White House with newly inaugurated President Donald Trump, Ellison touted the impact AI has had on health care. He specifically called out cancer detection, treatment and cancer vaccines. Ellison claimed using AI, a messenger RNA-based jab could be produced robotically in just 48 hours.[8]
