Giorgia Meloni is an Italian politician who since 2022 is Prime Minister of Italy.[1][2] She has been a member of parliament since 2006. Meloni was threatened by Ursula von der Leyen[3] and offers "constructive dialogue with Russia".[4]

A working class Roman woman and mother of one.[5] She is reported to be a member of the Aspen Institute.[6]

Political opinions

In November 2022, she criticised France for their exploitation of former French colonies in Africa. She singled out the CFA franc, as the way French banks profit from the young children working in gold mines in Burkina Faso.[7]

Before her election as Prime Minister she made an electoral pledge to curb (illegal) immigration, but under her premiership the actual numbers have multiplied.[8]

In November 2023, Telecom Italia, with the consent of the Meloni government, approved the sale for 19 billion euros of the Italian fixed-line network to KKR.[9] On this important infrastructure circulates: 1) public information; 2) monetary transactions; 3) any operation of military interest.[10] Professor Andrea Zhok from the University of Milan concluded: "We basically gave them the house keys and the ius primae noctis. For those who still had doubts, the Italian right is just as much part of the project to sell the country to the US as the left. Since the Italian one is the condition of a colony, the right term for our ruling class is that of 'collaborationists with the forces of colonial occupation'. Given that these days there are no opportunities for good humor, I can not wait to get to the next elections in which we will witness for the thousandth time the hilarious game of the parties in which the right will seriously mutter of 'national sovereignty' and the left will accuse them of 'fascism' for this."[11]
