1950s
The Finnish stay behind was created by former SS-officer Lauri Törni now working for the US Green berets under the name "Larry Thorne".
The newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, for many decades dominated by Eljas Erkko and his son Aatos Erkko, started its relationsship with the CIA.
Johan Nykopp (10 time Bilderberger) was an influential Finnish diplomat
1960s
The CIA received "excellent insider information" from Max Jakobson, a top official in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Still, Jakobson never belonged to President Urho Kekkonen's real inner circle.
