Carroll L. Wilson was an US academic who "was an expert on the relationship between science and government". He attended the 1973 Bilderberg meeting.[1]

Career

As a young engineer he helped Vannevar Bush, vice president and dean of engineering at MIT, organize the National Defense Research Committee during WW2.[2]

He was the first general manager of the Atomic Energy Commission. He was 36 years old when he became the chief executive officer of the agency created in 1946 by President Truman to put civilians in charge of guiding the development of atomic weapons.[1]

In 1982 he became director of an European Security Study of ways to strengthen the conventional defenses of the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.[3]
