Description | An assassination attempt was made against Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981. |
Official narrative
Anatomy Of An Assassination Attempt |
The official narrative is that a "lone nut", John Hinckley, Jr. carried it out in an effort to impress actress Jodie Foster. Mark Gorton and others have suggested that it was a plot to assume full political control of the presidency by Reagan's vice president, George H. W. Bush.[1]
Concerns
The first point to note is that Hinckley's family were well known to the Bush family.[2]
