Career

In 1982], President Ronald Reagan appointed Hutchinson U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, a federal court in the Eighth Circuit. At age 31, Hutchinson was the nation's youngest U.S. attorney. The district includes Polk County, where Mena Airport is located. During the 1980s, Mena was the hub for CIA/Drug trafficking.
