Swiss business executive interested in European integration who attended the 1960 Bilderberg and 1961 Bilderbergs. Died suddenly in February 1962.

Arthur Wilhelm-Pfeifer was a Swiss economist and business executive. He attended the 1960 and 1961 Bilderberg conferences. In May 1961 the Jean Monnet Foundation archived a speech he held, "The United States and European Economic Integration".

Education

Wilhelm-Pfeifer took degrees at the University of Basel, University of Geneva and a doctorate in economics at the University of Heidelberg in 1923.

Career

He had a career in the chemical industry, where he rose from an Italian manager in the dyes department of the Swiss multinational Ciba to become vice-president of the company from 1946. He was also the chairman of the board of directors of Durand & Huguenin and the president of ScienceIndustries, a pharmaceutical organization.

In May 1961 the Jean Monnet Foundation archived a speech he held, "The United States and European Economic Integration".

Board positions

He sat on the boards of Swissair, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the banking committee of the Swiss National Bank.

Death

Unexpected.
