Albert Legault was a Canadian "security academic".[1] He often advised the Canadian government and other NATO member countries.[2]
Education
He held a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International Studies.[3]
Career
He notably performed research on strategic studies and specialized in peacekeeping. He published several books on nuclear deterrence and [disarmament]]. From 2000 until 2009, Legault was one of the pioneers in the study of international relations at Laval University.[1]
From 2002 to 2009, he held the Canada Research Chair in International Relations at the Université du Québec à Montréal. During this period, he actively participated in the activities of the Center for Studies on Integration and Globalization (CÉIM) and the Montreal Institute of International Studies (IEIM).[1]
