John Leslie Prescott, Baron Prescott was a British Labour Party politician who was Member of Parliament for Hull East from 1970 to 2010.[1]

Prescott was Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2001 and Deputy Prime Minister of the UK from 1997 to 2007.[2]

He was awarded a peerage in the dissolution honours list on 28 May 2010.[3]
