Career
He was selected by the WEF as both a Global Leader for Tomorrow and a Young Global Leader.
As head of Rakuten, Japan's biggest e-commerce retailer,[1] Representative Director of the Japan Association of New Economy[2] stated that "I want [COVID-19] vaccinations to proceed at warp speed"[3]
About the Tokyo Olympics he commented that "The fact that we are so late for the vaccination, it’s really dangerous to host the big international event”, adding that it was "like a suicide mission".[4]
