Susanne Ruoff was CEO of Swiss Post from 2011 to 2018. She attended the 2017 Bilderberg Conference.
Background
Ruoff worked for seven years as a primary school teacher[1], before taking a degree in economics at the University of Freiburg. She obtained an Executive degree from the Insead Management School in France and completed further training on corporate governance in executive boards at the University of St. Gallen.[2]
Career
Ruoff was CEO at British Telecom Switzerland, and Management Board member and Global Technology Services at IBM Switzerland.
In 2011, she became CEO of the public company Swiss Post.
She resigned in 2018, after mounting pressure over a scandal where PostBus, a Swiss Post subsidiary, used accounting tricks to illegally obtain at least 90.87 million francs in state subsidies for the operation of its regional transport services. Ruoff said she had not known of the illegal subsidies over the period in question but conceded a new external report into the affair showed there were certain indications of the practice from 2007 to 2015.[3]
